It is really disgusting to see no one cares for our initiative. 3 days and not a single person who read this request about deshraag.org cared to promote or like us on facebook.

I am not able to understand why this happened. There are around 275 people who read my request. No one took any action to support?

If this is the attitude, why should we have this forum as a free resource?

I am ashamed at this behavior by 498a.org members

Satya. I support your initiative. I dont have a facebook account, dont intend to create one... if one is there.. i have not idea what the password is etc... i dont log on to social networking sites.

Not using facebook, except for try out how it works couple of time. SO not promoting. However support is always there for good initiatives.

Sorry don't have a FB account but we are behind the initiative. The importance of this website is that it has lead to countless smiles on faces of people who are going through mental trauma which cannot be explained by words......I am certain there are quiet a few people who are in the middle of crucial stages and probably concerned about coming in open ...... I think all understandable.

Dear moderator,

Someone drafted a common petition for Public interest Litigation for changing of 498A on a website.

But I'd suggest each victim or his family member should appeal to PIL Cell, Supreme Court of india, New Delhi which would have greater impact.

I, for one, am sending one. I will paste a copy after sending.

PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE THIS DRACONIAN LAW.

I got married 30 jan 2005, but in last 7 years my wife harashing me in many ways, she was stayed her parents home, daughter is also stay with her, Many times with help of relatives and parents she come back my home bt againg go back to parents home, she is working in college as lecturer near to partents home, she was using abuse language and threatend me to commited sucide and finally she go back to there parents home nov 2011 , i was logged a divorce case in 13 march 2012, when she was got notice from the court she logged a complaint against me and my family in women cell sonipat and on 28th april 2012 and investgaing officer called up me to come over there, on 4th may 2012 we met to officer, and they try to compromise and give another date 12may 2012, I ask officer to see the copy of complaint but he refuse me, what should i do help me out, officer is also taking her favour, She want compromise and settle with me in sonipat but i belong to faridabad, I dant want to continue my relationship with her the way she torchure me in publically, even i left out my job last year, mentally i am disturb

I am a new member, above 60 y and is in support of this initiative. I am sincerely organising my self for significant contribution. God bless.

We should form a political party with the slogan "Equal power-equal responsibilty" and promise to remove 498a, create a new law "498M" to deal with the harrassment of husbands and their family members without any misuse clause, declare men as default victims. Create a Men's and children's right commission and abolish Women's commission. Any complaint by the husband would attract divorce with compensation to husband's family for ruining his life and wife can't defend such divorce. Have this law for three decades from now and then we will think of whether we should dilute the sections by offering bails to wife/wife's family members.

Bir's idea is appreciated.
