Hi All,

I was just thinking of automating the decision making, despite the highly volatile scenarios(innumerable variables and parameters which could be different in different cases), for any possible 498a case which could be anticipated.

I would like IT brains to come together to think about and build a suitable front end and system, which acts as an expert system(or a decision support system, which guides through the various nodes of a decision tree in case of any 498a scenario) which churns out the appropriate course of action, when fed/input with the facts of the case(different scenarios against different parameters eg: Parameter: IPC sections of the complaint , scenarios would be 1.498a alone 2. 498a+406 3 2+murder(or abetment of suicide etc.)... Parameter: Evidence against the allegations available Scenarios:1. Available 2. not available).

The inputs to this system would be the collective wisdom of our team(which if suitably compiled would be enough to defend any kind of situation). Once we are sure of how do go about designing the system, we could delegate the coding part and population of the masters(scenarios and course of actions and judgments suited to each of them, among our members who I guess is highly system oriented and tech savvy.

Just a thought, since I think such a system could be an asset for integrating information scattered among us, and making it coherent and highly effective, thus avoiding mad rush & fire-fighting, each time when we face a critical situation(like the recent jabalpur bail case, which some of us are aware of). Thus reducing rework by each of us, while helping others. This system could be made available to only a limited number of volunteers so that the processing power doesn't get misused.

Infact some of us had started work on similar lines when we had discussed about a flow chart kind of tool to help us take decisions. We could just compile all of that info together, but we need to think about what technologies would be needed to build such a dynamic decision support system.

If we are to be effective for the long run, we need to automate some decision making, or even responding to the huge amount of Advice requests we get in the main SIF group. I would like System analysis & design guys to take the lead, and we can discuss this in some restricted forum or BBS of 498a.org, so that all ideas are available for review at any point in time for anyone who is authorised to see that.

I am also posting this in a forum of 498a.org, the administrators could restrict the discussion on this post after we decide who all should participate in S.A.D of this system, initially i think it should be left open for everyone to contribute.

Just to set pace, and get the ball rolling, and not to present the above task as daunting or as a big, un-attemptable, gargataun project, let me suggest that we could start off with a simple MS word file with the data organised and routed with the use of "Bookmarks" feature in Word.

So thats a simple start for the expert system used to centralise and accumulate our collective wisdom and 498a provess. For example

First page of Word File appears as below:

Select the appropriate scenario of the specific 498a case in question(for which you are using the expert system) (the matter below is all routed/linked to other respective(bookmarked) section of the word file)

General fear of 498a(u somehow think that its better to know your options)
General fear of 498a, since wife has left ur house without hinting anything(u think that its better to know your options)
Anticipating possible 498a case(wife has expressed that 498a will be filed: Anticipatory bail)
498a case existing bail not obtained(victim not surrendered)
Bail obtained, but Chargesheet not framed/trails not started



The second page would start with different scenarios of the first option in the first page, namely

"General fear of 498a(u somehow think that its better to know your options)"

Readings on Restitution of conjugal rights
Readings on possible future course of action like:
1. Non-Cognisant complaints to police, to inform the police about threats/possibility of wife filing false 498a case
2. CrPC 158 and 200 by which court orders police to necessarily investigate the above NC complaint based on the apprehensions of the husband(in case of false complaints, there by avoiding being taken into custody when 498a is filed)
3. Recording conversations, audio/video(linked to various available products available on the internet)
etc................

What do u feel, these sections can be populated with cotributions of ideas from various volunteers(just copy paste their suggestion from their reply posts into the respective section of the ever-growing MS Word file(which slowly becomes the bible: New Testament/expert system for all 498a victims).

DO start posting your replies and ideas/remedies for various possible 498a scenarios, like the ones illustrated above. Later we can port this to some other form, which is more user-friendly and efficient.

All great ideas are brushed aside as foolish by all but the one who conceived it and those who brushed it aside, exclaim when it turns into reality.

It is great you joined the clan of intellectuals.

I think you have to brainstrom to streamline the though process. I will send my inputs too soon.

I wanted this organisation to be banned, if it continues misbehavior. Indian families need to propagate for this cause.

Supreme court judge already mentioned that 498a leashes legal terrorism in India. Therefore, It is very conspicous in those terms, that Orgnanization responsible for leashing legal terrorism in India needs to be banned from society.

We do not need hatred kinda organizations in our democratic union. We need un-biased organisations, which we already have as a parliament feeding them crores of our tax money.

I request brother indians..pls. contribute for the cause of banning this organisation from India. This is very necessary for the development of the country. I can give you several evidences, that this organisation is simply useless for us as a nation. NRIs contribute for this cause. This is a big call for a smart INDIA.

Hi John,

I am out of time for a month starting 21 Feb so will come back and start the work on the expert system. Lets make benchmarking among 498a defenders easy and fight 498a in the present system itself with our collective wisdom.

In the meanwhile I would like to see some more brain storming on this by members.
